I finally remembered to take some pictures of the school. Here is Prishtina High School, grades 1-12.

Right across the driveway is a separate building where the preschool and kindergarten meet.

We are outside of the city on a hill with beautiful views of the Kosovo countryside.

Yesterday the high school drama teacher pulled Derek and I aside after school. She shared that in class she asked her students to share who they go to for comfort. She said Dexter asked, “Is it ok to say Jesus?” She said it was. Let me remind you that we are living in a culture where Christianity is not the predominant religion. She told us she knew of only one other Christian student in the class. She proceeded to tell us how the students asked questions about why he would say that and a conversation between him and the other students took place. One student said, “I don’t tell others my problems because I don’t want my sadness to make someone else feel bad.” She said Dexter replied saying, “That’s why Jesus is a great choice. He won’t be sad. He wants you to tell him why you’re upset. That’s the whole point of my faith.” Okay. At this point we were all in tears. I’m so praying that this experience is truly life changing for my kids.

On a lighter note – what is up with this crazy Ellie? She figured out she can reach the light switches. They are easier to turn on an off here. For a chuckle, check out this video of her going from room to room turning light switches on an off. It seriously keeps her busy for about an hour every day! 😂

Finally, we need your prayers. We are facing a challenging situation with one of our kids that we aren’t ready to speak about publicly. We just need clarity in this situation. Thank you!
